reviewing some news in The Wall Street Journal
Posted: February 3, 2025 Filed under: America Since 1945, business, food 3 CommentsI don’t care for Applebee’s, it’s sub Friday’s and way sub Chili’s, but I do like living in the United States of America. All told this was a nice story. The conclusion:

Applebee’s somehow has over a thousand locations and a probably a very lucrative advertising deal with NFL on NBC.
And then there’s Red Lobster, which somehow has hundreds of locations despite being significantly worse than a much smaller seafood chain like Fish City Grill. And Chipotle dominates nationwide despite not being any better than the tiny, struggling Tex-Mex chain Tijuana Flats.
Literally never heard of Tijuana Flats! I’ll have to look into it.
They crush Chipotle in the Google/Yelp ratings over in Florida. – Tom Schreffler
